Betty Denton Chair Caning and Heritage Seat Weaving

I offer a variety of heritage seat weaving techniques, rush, splint, hand caning , and press in caning. Since learning in the early 1990's, I have demonstrated in in venues as far as the Champlain Valley Fair in Vermont, to Darnell Farms in Bryson City , North Carolina, to the Florida Folk Festival in High Springs Florida, and yearly at the Plant City Pioneer Days festival. For the last 22 years I have been a tradesman docent in Cracker Country Living History museum on the Florida State Fairgrounds. My husband is proficient at repairing structural damage to furniture and also is knowledgeable in Hand Caning . With 32 years experience, I can take on jobs others prefer not to try.
