27 years ago I decided that I wanted to help women. I began my journey to become a nurse midwife after the birth of my oldest daughter by a Certified Nurse Midwife. It was that experience and my opportunity to work with one during teen clinic hours as the group educator that inspired me to become one. I realized that I had a calling to continue being an educator, an advocate or a helper to women during childbirth as a Certified Nurse Midwife and it feels so right to me.
