Raju Rao, MD

Dr Raju Rao is a board-certified Oncologist for Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute in Hernando County. He describes himself as an optimist who always like to see what can be done and what is possible. Throughout his career he has been part of the steady strides that have extended survivorship with treatments that are better tolerated so patients can achieve the best outcomes and enjoy their best quality of life. Dr Rao received his medical degree from Universidad Mundial Dominicana in the Dominican Republic. He completed Internal Medicine residency training at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia and a fellowship in Hematology at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. Dr Rao has participated in numerous clinical studies.
