SVdP CARES is making homelessness rare, brief, and one-time in Hillsborough County. We offer both Veteran and non-Veteran housing programs for individuals and families experiencing homelessness and work to rapidly house them within 30 days. While the level and type of assistance vary, SVdP CARES models its programs on the “Housing First” principle that emphasizes choice, self-determination, and a low-barrier housing approach.
