This program provides instruction both in the classroom and clinical setting. We provide hands-on training to ensure the students are fully equipped to provide compassionate care as a nursing assistant. Clinical instruction is provided at long term care/rehab facilities and assisted living facilities. Instruction includes topics related to the Nursing Assistant (NA) scope of practice, ethical and legal responsibilities of the nursing assistant, basic medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology, patient care needs, infection control, nutrition, comfort, safety measures, body mechanics, first aid, CPR, vital signs, record keeping, communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and employability skills.
